Tongxiang, Zhejiang, China - On December 2, 2018, Zhejiang NAMAG Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd. completed the delivery of four air-cooled towers (DCA, Direct Contact Air Cooler Column) and water-cooled towers (EVC, Evaporation Cooler Column) for the Linde project at the Tongxiang plant. After the joint efforts of customers, suppliers, site management and different logistics contractors, the four large-size towers finally arrived at the project site on December 16th, which laid a good foundation for the smooth start-up of Yantai Wanhua MDI II project.

The four towers are shipped in sizes up to 5.6 meters, with a maximum length of 27 meters and a single cargo weight of 85 tons. The ultra-wide and ultra-high cargo has brought certain difficulties and special requirements for transportation. Namag timely arranged the project logistics party and engineers to go to the factory and project site to conduct cargo and site exploration in advance according to the customer's project schedule requirements, and according to the site investigation, a project logistics team was set up to formulate large-scale transportation lines, strapping operation plans and time milestones control plans. After many discussions, the two parties finally finalized the integrated logistics solution for land short-distance transportation to the inland river terminal, inland water transportation to Shanghai Port, Shanghai Port to Yantai Port, Yantai Port to the project site through the land transportation.

Namag supplied 4 units of DCA (Direct Contact Air Cooler Column) and EVC (Evaporation Cooler Column), which will be used for the new constructed air separation units of Yantai Wanhua MDI II project. The Linde Group, a world leading industrial gases and engineering company, and Wanhua Chemical Group (“Wanhua Chemical”), the world’s largest producer of isocyanate (MDI), have signed an agreement to expand the supply of gas to Phase II of Wanhua Chemical’s Yantai operations. Under the new agreement, Linde will invest EUR108m (835m RMB) to build two additional energy efficient steam-driven ASUs, complementing the two existing ASUs already in place, to meet Wanhua Chemical’s growing demand for industrial gases.
